Heather Kocum is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in counseling children, adolescents, adults, and families in outpatient settings. She utilizes a variety of treatment modalities tailored to the unique needs of her clients and believes in a person-centered, strengths-based approach to help each client achieve the goals they set for themselves. Her current work includes treatment for trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, ADHD, and familial and peer conflict. She has a preference for working with the college-aged population. Heather is also a state certified TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) provider and is experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and MATCH-ADTC (Modular Approach to Children & Adolescents with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, & Conduct). Heather's goal as a therapist is to establish a safe and affirming partnership with her clients in order to empower them to overcome life's challenges.
