Jennifer Courchesne

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have worked with children, adolescents, and adults  in a variety of settings including a psychiatric hospital, outpatient clinic, private practice, home-based services, and a group home. I also work with couples to improve their communication skills, conflict resolution skills, and strengthen their connection.  I have been in the field for over 25 years and have experience working with diverse cultures and individuals with a wide range of diagnoses. I work with my clients to create individualized treatment plans to focus on their needs and incorporate their strengths. I have assisted many individuals, couples, and families in achieving their emotional, behavioral, social, and relational goals.

In my work, I strongly believe in using a trauma informed approach. I have been trained in Risking Connection and the Restorative approach. I am a certified MATCH-ADTC clinician (therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct issues) and I am also certified in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy) for children and teens.

I have experience working with all age groups in different care settings and have treated individuals with depression, anxiety, anger, problem sexualized behaviors, trauma (childhood), and other behavioral health concerns. I focus on a person's or family’s strengths and help them become more self aware and confident through an empathetic and solution focused approach.
