Karen Braun
Licensed Master Social Worker
LMSW
Karen, LMSW, received her MSW from Arizona State University. Before becoming a therapist, she owned a small non-profit performing arts theater on Long Island, New York, where she worked with hundreds of teenagers and adults to use theater as a creative and emotional outlet. She directed and choreographed over 35 musicals and founded several teen organizations that utilized the arts to foster self-expression, empathy, community, and confidence.
As an Experiential Therapist, Karen integrates drama, movement, and talk therapy to help clients connect with their emotions and promote healing through creativity and embodiment. With a background in both mental health and the performing arts, she brings creativity and compassion into the therapy space. She has worked with individuals of all ages in both individual and group settings, with a special focus on supporting adolescents and adults. Karen believes therapy should feel collaborative, nonjudgmental, and tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Karen remains a devoted theater buff and enjoys all forms of media, from live performances to binge-worthy TV. In her free time, she loves crafting, exploring new hobbies, and being a proud dog mom to her two rescue Miniature Schnauzers.
